Make no mistake, the change to RCF gear for installation purposes has absolutely changed the game for us. Though this installation looks tiny (it is), it packs a mighty punch with it's pair of 2x8" tops and 1x15" subwoofer.
Coverage for the field is 180º from the roof of the press box, and sound is extremely clear and very intelligible.
Attend a football game in Eureka this season to see just how much 3 speakers can really do!
In 2024 the Kalispell Lakers decided it was time to upgrade the incredibly broken down sound system at Griffin Field.
We mapped the space and created dedicated coverage zones that makes watching a game much more fun! We used 4 RCF 8" speakers for the stands, a single RCF 2x8" speaker to cover the field, and a 15" subwoofer. All speakers are weather rated to IP55.
Announcers can be heard crystal clear, music is booming, and all told, the user experience for actually working the equipment has gotten easier.
Finally, we were able to incorporate a couple of pieces of their old equipment and help them get re-organized to use the old equipment at the other field as it didn't every have a sound system at all.
This was a massive upgrade at a very budget friendly price.

Item Link List Item 4Edgerton got a hold of us to do a moving of the old amp rack to a fixed location inside a room adjacent to the gym. We also integrated a permanently mounted projector that allows for much easier use than finding the cart, rolling it into the gym, trying to hook up gear, etc. Now it's, plug your laptop into the HDMI cable and turn on the power. Boom, projector done. This was an awesome integration of old gear (sound) and new gear (projection) to make for a budget conscious solution to the schools needs.
It was time. West Valley School had a rolling Costco speaker in the small gym, and an old system in the big gym that only worked on rare occasions.
Small Gym - we put in 4 - 12" passive cabinets that can output all the sound that room can handle. There are two wireless mics, one with a headset for PE teacher use, and all control is handled on an iPad that just about anyone can use!
Big Gym - this gym took 6 12" passive cabinets and a pair of 18" subwoofers. The wall rack integration was done by the super handy, Mr. Jackson at the school. Now there is a simple cabinet on the wall that can be locked and inside you'll find all the goodies you can handle. 2 wireless mics, antenna distribution, 2 wired XLR connections across the room in the bottom of the bleachers, bluetooth streaming, etc. All handled again with iPad control on an Allen & Heath QuPac mixer.
Flathead High School's previous installation was a three speaker and single subwoofer hang over the stage end of the basketball court. Counting on those three speakers to compete with 3000 screaming fans at a crosstown game became unreliable, so the solution was distributed audio hung just outside the confines of the volleyball court. Low ceiling height in the old gym meant that we couldn't do a center hang and the incorporation of subwoofers wasn't in the budget at the time, so we added the old subwoofer and one of the old amps to the equation to help provide some low end reinforcement to the gym.
The user experience was an Allen & Heath QuPac which is a fully capable digital mixer that can be simplified through an amp to give absolute basic control when needed but complete control of every channel when that time arises. The school uses the stage for performances, so the location of the old audio rack on stage worked great, and the incorporation of the iPad for control has been top tier.
